THE SEVERITY OF PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS, DEPENDING ON THE BODY MASS INDEX

Abstract
On the basis of the clinic of the Andijan State Medical Institute and the Regional Endocrinological Dispensary, 110 patients were examined, of which 42 (33.2%) were men, 68 (61.8%) were women; the average age of patients is 52.3 + 12.9 years; It was found that the group of patients with normal weight had a significantly lower severity of peripheral neuropathy in comparison with the group, the mean BMI of which was higher than normal, according to the scales by 29% on the NSS scale.
