TRIANGULAR IRREGULAR NETWORKS FOR MODELING OF GEOMETRICAL STRUCTURE

Abstract

The triangular irregular network (TIN) is used for modeling surfaces mainly due to effectiveness of surface representation. This property of TIN is result of flexibility of triangles vertices localization. However, there are restrictions and conditions for localization of points of input elevation point field to represent surface. We will discuss these issues in this article
