Abstract

The process of reforms in Uzbekistan in all spheres is becoming more and more widespread in the field of education. In particular, the choice of foreign languages along with physics as a priority for the development of science this year is noteworthy. It is well known that in the process of integration into the world community, at a time of bold and active entry into the world market, the need for knowledge of foreign languages and IT-technologies is growing. Therefore, today the criteria of comprehensive maturity of a specialist in the field requires knowledge of not one, but several foreign languages, as well as their native language. A video conference chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 6 this year was dedicated to this topical issue. "It is time to introduce a new system of foreign language teaching in our country, which will be a solid foundation for the future. As long as we aim to build a competitive state, from now on, school, high school, college and university graduates must be fluent in at least 2 foreign languages. This strict requirement should become the main criterion of the activity of the head of each educational institution,”said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
