BOTU'S VIEWS ON THE ALPHABET

Abstract
Botu was one of the initiators of the conversion of the Uzbek-Arabic alphabet to the alphabet based on Latin script. Author of a number of articles on linguistics and literature. Botu was unjustly convicted in 1930, imprisoned, and a victim of repression. One of the streets in Tashkent and the school are named after Botu. Botu was one of the pioneers of modern Uzbek literature, a talented poet and public figure. Botu was also known to the people as a public figure and translator. In particular, it is known that he has been active in the development of school education and higher education, science and culture in our country. However, Botu was yes in some erroneous and contradictory way without mute to the politics of his time. The article discusses Botu’s way of life and linguistic activities.
